Our Practice

How We Came To Be

Angerame dental office 1959

Our practice has been serving the families of Palatine and its surrounding suburbs for seventy years. Dr. Rolley Bateman opened the practice in Palatine in 1953 and became an integral part of the community. In addition to opening our dental practice, he helped create Harper College’s Dental Hygiene Program, sat on the board of Northwest Community Hospital, taught at Loyola’s Dental School, and became a founding member of the Rotary Club of Palatine.

Dr. Bateman was later joined by Dr. Robert Bradley who completed his dental education at Indiana University and served his country in Vietnam. Dr. Robert Angerame, Dr. Bateman’s son-in-law, joined Dr. Bradley in 1983 after graduating from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and completing his residency at Evanston Hospital. Dr. Bateman’s grandson, Dr. Thomas Angerame, joined the dental team in 2016. As with his grandfather and father, he graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, and was chosen to pursue a residency program at Jesse Brown V.A. Hospital.

Along with providing care to the Palatine community, Dr. Thomas Angerame works closely with Northwest Community Hospital’s oncology department to aid in the oral healthcare of those patients undergoing head and neck cancer treatment. He stays actively involved with the community and can be seen at different local charity and fundraising events.
