Hunter Downing, DMD
Restorative & Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Downing joins us from Louisville, KY. Having grown up in northwest Tennessee, where he graduated Salutatorian of his high school class, he then attended the University of Memphis on a full academic scholarship. He completed his studies at Middle Tennessee State University, where he graduated with Honors with a Bachelor of Business Administration. With strong interests in leadership and education, he began working to help high school students achieve success on state-standardized and college admissions tests. He also began teaching high school math, while simultaneously serving as a personal intern for the president of a local university.
A few years later, he came to discover his true passion for dentistry, which blends his enthusiasm for teaching and patient care along with the ability to create life-long relationships. After returning to school to pursue a career in dentistry, Dr. Downing completed his dental pre-requisites at the University of Louisville, where he achieved a 4.0 GPA and a rare top 1% score on his Dental Admissions Test.
He attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he exhibited both academic and clinical excellence. He served as class treasurer, and he volunteered time to treat underserved populations throughout Kentucky. He also had the opportunity to treat patients in the school’s Advanced Prosthodontic and Digital Crown clinics, where he gained clinical experience using the latest dental technologies and methodologies. Upon graduation, Dr. Downing was awarded the university’s distinguished Doctor of Dental Medicine Professionalism Award.
Dr. Downing is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Education Association.

In addition to pursuing his excitement for dentistry, Dr. Downing enjoys spending time with his wife, Victoria, along with exercising, playing golf, and reading.
